Tonight will be the 82 and final game in the 2011 calendar year. Right now this year would be a 100 pt year for the team (a win tonight would make it a 102 pt year). Unfortunately the year is split over 2 seasons and 2010 was a horrible year.

Well, today's game not included, there are 5 games left to the halfway point. The team already has produced 20 wins. A 45 win season would be phenomenal for this team. From the preseason I figured if they got through December relatively well, which they have this team would be able to compete for a top spot in the conference. String together one of those 6 or 7 game undefeated streaks and that becomes a reality.

A lot of his defensive problems begin in the O zone.

I'm not talking just about turnovers. When they get hemmed in the zone, he doesn't know where to go, who to cover, or even what to do if he gets the puck. You could say he's forced into that situation because of a turnover in the O zone, but I wouldn't say that's the case more for him than any other player.

I know. But Kovy has made some terrible plays on the PP too leading to breaks the other way. The point is, it has to change. When the offense isn't going, Pete changes the lines. When the D pairs don't look good, they get switched. When the PP gives up SHGs every time out, it stays the same. I don't understand.
