The Ducks re-signed defenseman Matt Smaby to a one-year contract on Monday that’ll pay him an NHL salary of $650,000 and an American Hockey League salary of $105,000.
Smaby, 27, played in 30 games with the Syracuse Crunch last season after recovering from a torn thumb ligament that he suffered while playing for the Ducks in a preseason game against Vancouver.
