The Montreal Canadiens have announced a six year contract extension with young forward Max Pacioretty.

The contract officially begins at the start of the 2013-14 season, and is a total of $27 million over six years which translates to $4.5mil per season.

Sustaining a devastating, and career threatening injury from Zdeno Chara on March 8, 2011, Max bounced back the following season, recording 33 goals, and 65 points.
