All’s quiet on the never-ending Phoenix Coyotes ownership front as the National Hockey League’s owners and players try to hash a new labor deal and avoid a lockout and lost games.
But officials supportive and close to Greg Jamison’s year-long bid to buy the Coyotes and keep the team in Glendale say the collective bargaining talks and a possible lockout are not having a detrimental effect on the sale.
Those sources say Jamison has brought together the investor money to buy the team. But there still is no time line on when exactly a deal may close, and others continue to question why a sale hasn’t been finalized if they money is there.
