There is no doubt Alex Burmistrov is exactly where he needs to be right now.
The gifted Russian forward is one week into a stint with the St. John’s IceCaps and based on what I saw firsthand, any questions about whether or not Burmistrov might be a little sour going to the minors for the first time in his young career instead of returning home to suit up for his hometown team, Ak Bars Kazan, have quickly been put to rest.
It’s only natural that Burmistrov would have interest in the Kontinental Hockey League, but he’s come to grips with the decision and putting his best foot forward.
