The Admirals came out of the weekend series against the Binghamton Senators triumphantly with a final score 4-2. Swedish defenseman Hampus Lindholm netted the games 1sttally to give the Admirals a 1 goal lead. Seven minutes after Lindholmís first North American goal, Peter Holland scored his 1st goal of the night. Palmieri attempted a shot on goal, but didnít hit his intended target opening the door for Holland who scooped the loose puck and snuck it past Bishop with 4 minutes remaining in the 1st stanza. Hollandís goal gave Norfolk a double up on Binghamton. Norfolk hammered Ben Bishop letting 26 shots fly. Binghamton only managed 8 shots on Norfolk goalie Frederik Anderson.

Admirals Come Out of Gates Firing, Double-Up Senators

Peter Holland and Kyle Palmieri each had three-point nights and Frederik Andersen made 40 saves as the Norfolk Admirals (6-2-0-0) topped the Binghamton Senators (4-4-1-0), 4-2, on Saturday night at Norfolk Scope Arena. The Admirals now embark on a four-game road trip beginning on Wednesday morning against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Eighteen-year-old defenseman Hampus Lindholm, who was a first-round draft pick of the Anaheim Ducks last June, netted his first American Hockey League goal. Andersen improved to 3-1-0 on the season with his 40-save effort.
