Every year we produce a Hockey Pool Guide that is call the Fantasy Hockey Pool Playbook.

Our site here is a hobby for all of our writers as we all have other jobs and we write for the FHC when we can because we love fantasy hockey and enjoy writing about it.
Due to time constraints we are unable to update the 2012-13 FHC Hockey Pool Playbook and therefore would like to offer it for free along with the updated predicted stats for a 48-game schedule. We realize that most hockey pool drafts are completed but we believe that there is still great info in our pool guide that can help you throughout the upcoming season.

New York, NY (February 20, 2012) — Any fan, player, parent, or coach will tell you, hockey is not just a sport, it’s a way of life. That’s why founder George Steiner set out to build a website that would appeal to all hockey enthusiasts. “Hockey needs its own online community for information and interaction,” says Steiner. On The Hockey Network, you can get rink directions, create a profile, find a store, read up on gear, find tryouts and tournaments, sell old equipment without fees, talk about the latest NHL action, and much more.

“I was disappointed with the hockey sites that were out there,” says Steiner. “The so called ‘hockey social networks’ lacked essential hockey features, were hard to use, and not unique to hockey. I thought there should be one site for everything hockey that’s easy to use.”

Since The Hockey Network launched in September 2011, it has received national attention and garnered strong support. The site has been featured in USA Hockey Magazine, the world’s largest hockey magazine, and on the television channel, NHL Network. The hockey blog Built For Hockey said in its review of The Hockey Network, “It was clear that a love and passion for hockey was the driving force behind it all.” That passion is surely one of the reasons The Hockey Network has already attracted over 25,000 users, Facebook fans, and Twitter followers.

“Sure you can create groups, add friends, and send messages, but I didn’t just create a social networking site and slap a hockey name on it,” says Steiner. So how is The Hockey Network different from other social networking sites? It looks like a hockey rink! To create your profile, you select your favorite NHL team, and then the site’s graphics and features are automatically customized to that team. Each user’s profile is specific to hockey; instead of saying where you work or go to school, you fill in your favorite player, the team you play for, and what position you play. You can then easily connect with teammates or other fans.
Some things, like equipment reviews, you want global opinions. But other things, like high school scores and tryout information, you need local discussion. So we structured the site to handle global as well as local hockey needs,” says Steiner. The site’s directories are integrated with Google Maps to help you find hockey rinks, stores, and camps in your area. You can get directions, hours, phone numbers, and even read and write reviews.
