Brett MacLean, a 23 year old, forward with the Phoenix Coyotes, has been hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency on Monday night. MacLean was playing hockey in Owen Sound, Ontario when the emergency occurred and was given CPR on location. He was then taken to Knight University Hospital by ambulance where he was admitted to the Cardiac ICU.
MacLean spent most of last season with Portland of the AHL where he notched 25 goals and 23 assists.
The Phoenix Coyotes have asked that everyone please respect the privacy of MacLean and his family at this time.
