The Anaheim Ducks have announcing the signing of goaltender, Frederik Andersen to a two-year, entry level contract. At the AHL level, Andersen will receive $70,000 per season and he will earn $925,000 for NHL play. The actual cap hit is $1,775,000 per season.
The Danish goaltender appeared in 33 games for Frolunda of the Swedish Elite League this past season, posting a GAA of 1.67 and a .941 save percentage. The 22 year old holds a franchise record of 8 shut-outs in the 2011-12 season which surpassed the previous Frolunda record of 7 which was held by Henrik Lundqvist.
Andersen has represented Denmark at the last four IIHF World Championships which were held in Finland and Sweden, Slovakia, Germany and Switzerland.
