Green has been one of the most exciting offensive defensemen to watch in the NHL, although he has been slowed due to injuries over the last few seasons. He had back-to-back seasons with over 70 points before two straight injury filled seasons.
Green is an offensive defenseman who is a key player on the Capitals power play and it is hoped that with new offensive-minded coach Adam Oates he can find his way back onto the scoring sheet.
Now is the time to go after Green, his value is at it’s lowest after two seasons filled with injuries (groin, ankle, head and an upper body). Make a pitch for him now, but don’t overpay based on his past performance. Green is high risk but very high reward.
