According to Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday), Lubomir Visnovsky has filed a grievance through the NHLPA to void his trade to the New York Islanders. Visnovsky is claiming that his no trade clause is still valid. The NTC was not invoked when Visnovsky was moved from the Edmonton Oilers to the Anaheim Ducks and may no longer be considered valid. It will be up to an arbitrator to decide. If arbitration goes in Visnovsky's favor, he will once again be the property of Anaheim, if it goes against him - the trade to the Islanders will stand.
The 35 year old defenseman played in 68 games for the Ducks in the 2011-12 season, compiling 27 points (6 goals, 21 assists) with a +7 rating and 47 PIM.
