The Carolina Hurricanes announced today that Jeff Skinner has re-signed with the team.
It is expected that Skinner signed a six-year contract extension worth an average annual value of $5.725 million.
This is a big contract for a player who wouldn't even be a restricted free agent for another year. It does lead one to believe Skinner is over the post-concussion issues that plagued him last season and that injuries are not a concern moving forward . . . at least according to the Hurricanes.
Fantasy owners should at least be optimistic.
