Roberto Luongo will provide the Canucks with a short list of teams, and according to a Nick Kypreos tweet he has asked for a trade. Among the teams reported/speculated to be on his list does include Florida, Tampa, and Toronto.
Spectors has the latest on Luongo
There may be quite a few goalies available this summer besides Luongo. With the elimination of the Bruins Wednesday night has Tim Thomas played his last game in bean town? Thomas is not very popular among his teammates since his decision to snub the White House visit. With only one year at $5 million remaining on his deal will the Bruins trade the 38 year old and hand the reigns of the crease over to Tuukka Rask?
Other potential UFA's this summer include Tomas Vokun, Josh Harding, Jonas Gustavsson, and Chris Mason
There has also been some trade rumor speculation that Miikka Kiprusoff, Jonathan Bernier, Sergei Bobrovsky, Anders Lindback, and on of the Blues goalies either Jaroslav Halak or Brian Elliott may also be available. Even Ryan Miller was in trade speculation during the season.
That is a lot of supply, what is the demand?
Tampa Bay, New Jersey, Toronto, Chicago, San Jose, Columbus, and maybe Edmonton.
It is a buyers market when it comes to goaltending this summer!

Joel Ward was the overtime hero eliminating the defending Cup Champions, Boston Bruins in game seven. Alex Ovechkin was a non-factor all night seeing 16:25 minutes of ice time. Alex Semin saw even less! Boston was unable to best Holtby and were direly missing forward depth. Nathan Horton would have made a difference and Bergeron was clearly not healthy. Lucic played poorly in the series and Krejci was also a disappointment.
Credit to the Caps role players, Jay Beagle was dominant on faceoffs, while Brooks Laich, Jason Chimera, and Karl Alzner stood out for the Caps.
Dale Hunter also out coached Claude Julien.

Two game sevens go Thursday night to close out the first round, Sens are in New York and Jersey is in Florida.

Daniel Alfredsson looks to atone for his embarrassing melt down in game six and lead the Sens to their first franchise game seven victory. Rangers will be missing Brian Boyle with a concussion. Ryan Callahan has an injured middle finger from a shot block and missed practice as a result. Expect him in the line up for game seven, but he won't be 100%
Sens win if Alfredsson, Spezza, Karlsson, and Anderson stand out
    Rangers win if they don't!

Jose Theodore did practice on Wednesday and could return to the Panthers crease for game seven. Which Martin Brodeur will we see tonight? Will it be the Hall of Fame Legend who dominates game sevens, or the aging over the hill shadow of himself who lets in bad goals? That will be the difference.

The NHL announced the finalists for the Norris Trophy as the leagues best defenseman. Erik Karlsson, Shea Weber, and Zdeno Chara are the nominees. The obvious choice here is Karlsson, read my article on Hockey Writers on Karlsson here

The NHL also announced the nominees for the Vezina trophy for best goaltender and Pekka Rinne, Henrik Lundqvist, and Jonathan Quick are the finalists. My vote goes to Quick.

Tim Thomas on the trade block is interesting and his one year contract might make him attractive for Burke or Yzerman
