Each week we will look at a top ten fantasy forward list. The list will be based on fantasy impact over the past few days and weeks. Most elite stars are consistent scorers, but there are several players who are very streaky so keep an eye on their stats so that you can dress them while they are on a hot streak.

Week 21 is the final week before the NHL trade deadline and we have already seen four trades in the last two days. None of those trades will have much fantasy impact but will have an impact for those NHL teams come playoff time.

Today the Nashville Predators traded Blake Geoffrion, Robert Slaney and a draft pick to the Montreal Canadiens for Hal Gill and a draft pick. Gill bolsters an already strong defense core in Nashville, not sure another defenseman was what they needed as they could use another top six forward.

Yesterday there were three minor deals. The Tampa Bay Lightning sent Dominic Moore and a draft pick to the San Jose Sharks for a draft pick. The Dallas Stars acquired two draft picks from the Philadelphia Flyers for Nicklas Grossman and the Anaheim Ducks sent Bryan Rodney to the Edmonton Oilers for Ryan O’Marra. Moore is a solid bottom six player who can kill penalties and is on pace for 27 points this season. Grossman is a big defenseman who is not an offensive guy but should allow the other offensive d-men in Philly more opportunities because he is responsible in his own end.

Week 19 is loaded with a ton of games. This could be the week that you break records in your fantasy hockey pool if you have players from the right teams.

Only the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes play twice, while every other team play three or more. In fact there are 14 teams that play four games this week.

Now that we are past the All-Star break every single game has more meaning as teams are fighting for playoff spots so expect your star players to be at their best from here on out.

Vancouver should trade Roberto Luongo to Tampa Bay

Now before you get too far into this column let me preface this by saying this is not an official trade, this is merely what I think the Vancouver Canucks should do. The Canucks should trade...

Not sure what would we have to give up, but keep in mind those are unsigned 4th liners, no matter how good they are.

    No risk. If Sykkie goes
