Tapes schmapes. Watching a game live, in person, as opposed to a tape where you can pause and rewind is so much better. In real time, you have to assess the situation quickly. While watching Lidstrom, Larsson has to anticipate the play and think what he's going to do and then compare it to what Lidstrom actually did. On tape, he doesn't have that capability, he gets to rewind and get do-overs. It's like when I'm practicing play-by-play I always do it on a live game and not a recorded one where I know what happened or what's going to happen and what's coming.
