San Jose Sharks are Bull-ish on new development team
Pat Curcio -- the one-man force who serves as CEO, investor, general manager and coach of the San Francisco Bulls -- could not have been happier this week when the Sharks switched their ECHL affiliation to his fledgling team.
"It's been our dream since we started this project," said Curcio, 38, who played and coached hockey in the minors and Europe before his start-up work with the Bulls.
The Bulls open their inaugural season Oct. 12 at the same Cow Palace where the Sharks played their first two seasons. And while the Bulls obviously benefit from having a connection to the NHL team 45 miles down the road, Curcio notes there are advantages for the Sharks as well.
