Syracuse Crunch will begin season with long road trip

Syracuse will play three games in that Province: Oct. 4 in Corner Brook, Oct. 5 in Stephenville and Oct. 7 in Clarenville.

Crunch general manager Julien BriseBois said the Tampa Bay organization likes the idea of getting away for some team-building before the season starts. It worked last year, when Norfolk kicked off its Calder Cup season with a trip to Newfoundland. And two years ago, Binghamton played there in preseason and also went on to win the Cup.
