Norfolk still going strong with new affiliate

The Norfolk Admirals won the Calder Cup last season but still got the boot as the affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning.

And despite a new affiliation with the Anaheim Ducks, the Admirals haven’t missed a beat so far in this young American Hockey League season.

Norfolk (5-1-0) are currently tied with the Syracuse Crunch, Tampa Bay’s new affiliate, for first place in the East Division, three points ahead of the Binghamton Senators. The Crunch (4-1-1-1) were Anaheim’s affiliate last season.
