I'd like to see Taormina up. We could really use a guy who can QB a PP. I'm surprised we haven't seen him up to be honest with how bad the PP has been.
I was discussing this with someone on twitter. We still need some offensive help on the blueline and we potentially have some pieces in the system that could help out right now without us having to give up pieces. It's low risk and could really give this team an extra kick if they can play well. And if they dont play well, well honestly they can't be much worse then what we have been seeing lately.

The thing is Taormina isn't steady enough defensively to play a lot of minutes. He would be a good option as a 7th defenseman though. Use him as a PP specialist and for limited minutes.

I would like to see us dress 7 defensemen and 11 forwards. We barely use the 4th liners anyways and by the end of the game someone is being double shifted on their line or we just roll 3 lines anyways.
I don't want to waive Bryce or anything as I think he could be a solid extra dman for us. Its more of a "what we need" vs "what we have" situation.

The worst thing is his stupid little dekes actually work on the rare occasion, which probably justifies it in his mind so he keeps trying it. Actually the worst thing might be that when he was playing with Lemaire behind the bench he actually looked like he was worth the commitment.

Isn't Tao getting scratched down there? Even Palmieri sat tonight

The 7 D is a great idea because Pete's basically double shifting Kovy on that line for half the game anyway, so why not call up Tao and go with 7. I know that Lou's not going to can Salvador, so go with 7 and have Tao run the PP. It makes too much sense not to happen.

Ahhh, this go-go system is putting to much pressure on a fucking terrible defense. The forwards going puck pursuit is leaving a **** *** defense high and dry. And everyone of those stupid turnovers is piling on a weak defense.

He has dirty dangles, but when you've tried it 1,000 times and it only worked once (against Philly in the playoffs) then you have to quit it.

I remember in the game against Buffalo when he scored, I thought, oh no, he's trying to deke. Luckily Roy didn't get a piece of it, or it was a breakaway the other way.

We have a few that can run it. Some are in the A, some are up here. It just depends. Urbom, Fayne, Tallinder, Larsson are all capable. Sova will be able, as will guys like Burlon and Gelinas, however, they are a ways away. So right now, our D can't handle it. In a few years, if they pan out, they should be able to.

Definitely the worst part of it. We all saw what his potential could be with a coach with Lemaire. It's just too bad that Lemaire paid his dues and deserves to retire and enjoy his family.

Well our defensive minded dmen aren't exactly getting the job done.

As for using 7 dmen, I personally am not a fan of it. Putting a guy out there cold in important situations, like a power play, just creates more problems in my opinion.
