No suspension for Cole. It was against the Devils so I'm not surprised. What a crock of ****.

I can see why they would go no suspension route, because Larsson was leaning forward when Cole came around.
But, damn.
Larsson leaning over should actually mean its more likely Cole gets suspended as opposed to less, by the logic Shanahan was using during preseason. Larsson was already in a vulnerable position when Cole committed to the hit, and did not put himself in that vulnerable position immediately prior to the hit. Therefore the onus was on Cole to avoid hitting him in the head.
I just think there's a clear double standard in this league. If Larsson's some star on Pittsburgh, Washington, New York, or Detroit, Cole is suspended. But because Larsson is a rookie from the Devils - no suspension.
One rule for all teams, not just for the "premier" ones.
I'm no expert in those cases, but...Chico is normally not into sensitive hyping on body checks and he seemed really sure that Cole would be suspended. Gotta suspect that if this was on a big star he would have been.
Hey Getzo,
I just want to tell you that I forgot more hockey than you will ever know.
That is all.
Elias and Tallinder missed practice today. DeBoer had to leave right after practice because he's sick.
Hope that it's nothing serious with Patty. Need him badly for tomorrow.
