So, I was at goodwill on Saturday and saw this cool looking 80's CD player for $2.99. I figured "eh, what the hell, I'll buy it. Who knows if it works, but if it doesn't, it's only $3."
The thing works perfectly, and it turns out it's a pretty high-end CD player, in the rare anthracite color (they made them in black and anthracite, everyone wanted black). The black ones go for $150 on ebay. This one will probably be worth more.. It sounds FANTASTIC, though, so I'm undecided if I'm going to sell it or keep it. the guitar sounds like it's coming out of an amplifier instead of out of a CD player.
