We play good third periods unless we are protecting a lead. That said, last night they did a decent job of clearing second attempts. Taormina is one of the better one in being quick on his feet and creative with the puck, getting it out of danger. But he is still a bit green. Foster is pretty weak along the boards and slow, though. Fayne has been awesome, calm under pressure.
I agree on all accounts. Last night was a very good defensive game for all 3 periods. The high shot against count is a product of generating no pressure in the offensive end. To me they sit back in the 3rd period with a lead instead of playing like they always do. It has nothing to do with the system tiring them out by the third IMO.
