Every deadline, we see a wake of emotions coming from the players, management, fans and the media, all voicing suggestions as to what should and should not have been done. Throughout all of this, we often forget about the fantasy hockey impact and which players might see a tremendous upgrade in production. Last season, the Hurricanes added Cory Stillman at the deadline and he managed to put up sixteen points in 21 games. Meanwhile, Sergei Samsonov, who was shipped off to the Panthers, put up fourteen points in twenty games. These players may not shatter the fantasy hockey realm, but they will often add great depth in any hockey pool format.
