One of the most asked questions from fans after the Stars acquired Derek Roy on Monday was concerning the fact Roy has just one year left on his contract (at $5.5 million) and then is eligible to becom an unrestricted free agent.

Here’s Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk on the issue: “I think we want to see what’s going on with the CBA. There’s still a lot of uncertainty with the CBA. I think we’ll all catch our breath now, he’ll get situated in Dallas, and we’ll go from there.”
