The Ducks have signed center Corey Elkins to a one-year contract through the 2012-13 season. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
Elkins, 27 (2/23/85), made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings in 2009-10, scoring one goal (1-0=1) in three games. Elkins appeared in his first career NHL game on Dec. 15, 2009 at Edmonton and scored his first NHL goal (Miikka Kiprusoff) on Dec. 17, 2009 at Calgary. The 6-2, 214-pound center played last season in the Czech Republic with Pardubice HC, scoring 6-7=13 points with a +8 rating and 24 penalty minutes (PIM) in 26 games.
