The Panthers are waiting for contract approval but have apparently agreed to terms with OHL Knights’ goalie Michael Houser, who must’ve impressed them during last week’s development camp.

Houser, 19, a Wexford, Pa. native, went undrafted, possibly because teams didn’t want to take a chance on a goalie who was born with a club foot.

Houser won 46 games and notched a 2.47 GAA last season and won the Red Tilson Trophy as the most outstanding player in the OHL. He was the first American-born player and first player from London to be named the Canadian Hockey League’s top goaltender.
