Mikhail Grigorenko’s stated goal for next season is simple.

“Make the NHL,” one of the Buffalo Sabres’ two first-round draft choices this summer said Monday after his first practice of the team’s development camp.

It’s not as cut and dried for Zemgus Girgensons, the other first-rounder. He’s committed to the University of Vermont for next season, but said after practice at First Niagara Center that no final decision has been made.
