Luke Adam's rookie season with the Buffalo Sabres started as good as any player could have hoped for.

Not only did he make the big club out of camp as a 21-year-old, he was centering Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville on the top line as the team opened the season in Europe.

Adam set up Vanek for a power-play goal four minutes into the season opener against Anaheim in Finland, and scored goals 2 minutes and 20 seconds apart the next day in Germany to lead the Sabres over Los Angeles.
