The Flyers signed Shea Weber as an RFA to a $100 million 10 year contract.
One thing this tells me is the Flyers are not planing on going forward with Chris Pronger.
I fully believe the Predators will match the offer and not allow Weber to walk as the compensation is nowhere close to what they could get back in trade.
Unfortunately, they can not trade Weber for at least a year if they match and keep him.

Also, rumor has it the deal is front-loaded to the point where Weber would earn $26 million in the first year alone. If that is the case, Nashville may not be able to financially afford that kind of pay out for one player, essentially handcuffing David Poile into having no choice but to let Weber leave.
Right, my bad. Also looks like the deal is for $110 million, not $100.
