The high point of Jordan Hendry‘s hockey life came the night of June 9, 2010 when the defenseman took his turn lifting the Stanley Cup above his shoulders as he moved about the ice at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center.
Less than a month later, Hendry had the Cup in his small hometown of Nokomis, Saskatchewan where he returned to a hero’s welcome. But the moments with the silver chalice overshadowed the fact that he was in the press box for Game 6 after appearing in 15 games for the Chicago Blackhawks that postseason.
That was the high life. It has been a struggle to get near that pinnacle ever since.
