When it comes to the Toronto Maple Leafs, one of the first things often mentioned is money.

The team is, after all, the most valuable franchise in the league. With that in mind, it is always expected that they use that kind of financial power to the best of their abilities to put themselves ahead of other teams in the league.

And due to that, Brian Burkeís stance on cap circumventing contracts (the fact that he wonít do them) is pissing a lot of fans off.

From the start, Brian Burkeís comments have always been that he wonít sign players to long contracts that circumvent the current salary cap and CBA by front loading long term deals and having the actual paid salary trickle down to the point where players are being paid around the $1million mark by the time they are barely or unable to play in the league.
