All the gathering needed to be called a family reunion Tuesday was Alma's fried chicken, Juanita's deviled eggs, the cousins' barbecue, Clara Mae's chicken and dumplins and mama's banana puddin'.

There was Trent Yawney, the once and future Admirals coach, and new associate coach Mike Haviland, who also was once an Admirals' coach. There was Marty Wilford, who still holds Admiral records for scoring as a defenseman and is the third man on the team's coaching staff.

Alongside was Bob Ferguson, who carries the title of general manager, which means he is the primary liaison between the Anaheim Ducks and their newest progeny, the Admirals.
