The day has finally come. Blues prospect Vladimir Tarasenko, the No. 16 overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft, is scheduled to land in St. Louis late Friday afternoon, a source confirmed to the Post-Dispatch.
He will arrive after the Blues' informal practice session Friday morning, and with the players taking off Saturday through Monday because of the holiday weekend, Tarasenko's first time on the ice is expected to be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ice Zone in Hazelwood.
The news comes nearly two months after Tarasenko signed his three-year, entry-level contract with the Blues, and it ends weeks of speculation about when the 20-year-old right winger would show up in St. Louis.
