Penguins right winger James Neal, coming off a season in which he scored 40 goals and earned recognition as a first-team NHL all-star, won't rule out going to Europe if the 2012-13 season is delayed, or even canceled, by a lockout.
At the same time, he clearly does not see it as a front-burner option at this point.
"I haven't considered it," Neal said after an informal workout with 11 teammates at Southpointe today. "We're still pushing to play hockey here. That's really the only thing I'm worried about right now, getting ready for the hockey season. Doing my same routine as if we're going to play."
