The city of Glendale could give prospective Phoenix Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison a Sept. 30 drop dead date to agree to changes to an existing $300 million arena deal.

If Jamison doesn’t agree to changes, Glendale would scrap its existing but unsigned arena deal and look for other options for the city-owned Arena.

That scenario could bring into question what happens to the Coyotes and their future in the Phoenix market. The Coyotes and National Hockey League are in labor lockout right now that could cancel games this upcoming season.
