The agent for Zdeno Chara said today that the Bruins [team stats] defenseman has signed to play in the Kontinental Hockey League in Prague, Czech Republic.

According to Matt Keator, Chara will join HC Lev Praha at the end of this week.

The KHL is thought to be the second most lucrative league in the world, behind the NHL. While Chara won’t make his current $6.9 million that he makes with the Bruins, he should cash in pretty well.
