HC LEV has added another hometown boy to its roster, as Prague-born and raised centre Roman Červenka has been transferred across town from HC Slavia Praha of the Czech Extraliga.
The 26-year-old has established a strong career in his native land and in the KHL. He was a regular on Slavia´s top club for four years from 2006 to 2010, twice playing in the league championship series and winning the 2008 title. His last season in the Extraliga was his most dominant, registering 97 points in 66 games -- it was strong enough to earn him a place on the Czech Olympic Team in Vancouver, where he played on a forward line with Jaromír Jágr. That summer, he followed Jágr to Avangard Omsk. Over two full seasons in Omsk, he recorded 130 points in 137 games, and was a key component of the team´s appearance in the Gagarin Cup finals. With Lev, he will be joining former Omsk teammate Martin koula.
