Sweden got 25 saves from Joel Lassinantti along with goals from four different players in a 4-1 win over Czech Republic to open its play at the IIHF World Junior Championship in Ufa, Russia.

But the Swedes will have to defend its 2012 gold medal won in Calgary last January without defenseman Hampus Lindholm. Lindholm, the Ducks’ first-round pick in this year’s draft, has been ruled out of the tournament due to a concussion.
