The annual World Junior Championships kicked off early this morning in Ufa, Russia. The tournament consists of the best under-20 year old hockey players in the world and usually showcases some of the top NHL Prospects in the entire world.

Team Canada kicked off its set of round robin games with a dominating 9-3 win over Team Germany. Belleville Bulls goalie and Bruins 2012 first-round draft pick Malcolm Subban got the start in net for the Bruins where he stopped 25 shots for the win. After the win Canada head coach Steve Spott confirmed to TSN that Subban would be in net again on Friday when Canada takes on Slovakia.
