Brian Burke, who was general manager of the Ducks when they won their only Stanley Cup in 2007, is back in the organization as a pro scout.

The club announced the move Thursday morning. Current Ducks GM Bob Murray
brings back his former boss and predecessor after Burke was fired by
Toronto as the Maple Leafs' GM and president in January before the
lockout-shortened season began.

“We are happy to welcome Brian back to the organization,” Murray said

in a statement. “Any time you can add a person of his quality to your
staff, it makes your organization better. We’ve had success working
together before and look forward to doing it again.”
