The Phoenix Coyotes have traded winger Raffi Torres to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a 2013 third-round draft pick.

The 31-year-old Toronto-native has appeared in 28 games with the Coyotes this season, scoring five goals and six assists.

Torres is in the final year of a two-year, $3.5 million contract he signed with the Coyotes prior to the 2011-12 season. His deal carries an average annual value of $1.75 million.
