Over the past few years, Lou Lamoriello has brought back former New Jersey Devils for one more go-around with the team, such as Bobby Holik, Petr Sykora and Brendan Shanahan. Another one of those moves happens today.
New Jersey acquired winger Steve Sullivan from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick, likely not in this year's draft, as the Devils traded it to Winnipeg for another reacquisition, Alexei Ponikarovsky. Sullivan joins a team looking to put together goals to replace the still-injured Ilya Kovalchuk, and also one that his coming dangerously close to falling out of a playoff race. It is also the club where he started his career.
