Ducks Sign Defenseman Lovejoy to Three-Year Contract Extension

The Ducks have signed defenseman Ben Lovejoy to a three-year contract extension through the 2015-16 NHL season. Per club policy, financial terms were not disclosed.

Lovejoy, 29 (2/20/84), scored 0-10=10 points with a +4 rating and 29 penalty minutes (PIM) in 35 games with the Ducks and Pittsburgh Penguins last season. Acquired from Pittsburgh in exchange for a fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft on Feb. 6, 2013, Lovejoy ranked tied for second among Anaheim defensemen with 10 assists in 32 games. The 6-2, 215-pound blueliner also added 0-2=2 points while averaging 21:05 time-on-ice (TOI) in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games against Detroit.

I am so glad to see that Anaheim re-signed him. Lovejoy was my priority re-signing for Anaheim.
